These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Slumbering Thread Studios ("Developer," "we," "us," "our") governing your use of the Thread mobile and web applications (collectively, the "App"). By downloading, accessing, or using Thread, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not access or use the App.
Thread is intended for general audiences age 13 and older. By using the App you represent that you are at least 13 years of age. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the App.
If you use Google Calendar integration, you must also comply with Google's Terms of Service and be of sufficient age to hold a Google account.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use Thread on your devices, solely for your personal, non-commercial use.

We reserve the right to introduce optional paid features in the future. Any such change will be clearly communicated and will not retroactively affect the free core functionality described herein.
Thread is built local-first. Your standard calendar data and preferences are stored entirely on your device and are not transmitted to our servers. To sync your task completion metadata across devices, Thread optionally uses Google Firebase. You can completely disable this in the app settings ("Local Only") to keep all data fully on-device.

Thread offers optional integration with Google Calendar via Google's Calendar API. If you choose to connect a Google account:
Thread allows you to add iCal feed URLs from any provider. When you add a feed URL, Thread fetches the feed directly from that URL on your device. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or availability of third-party iCal feeds you choose to add.
The Android version of Thread is distributed through the Google Play Store. Your download and installation of the mobile App is also subject to Google Play's Terms of Service.

Thread, including its design, code, graphics, and content, is owned by Slumbering Thread Studios and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership rights to you.
The Thread name, logo, and associated marks are property of Slumbering Thread Studios. You may not use them without our prior written permission.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to:
We strongly recommend maintaining independent backups of important calendar data through your calendar provider (Google Calendar, etc.).
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Slumbering Thread Studios and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law. Because Thread is free, our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed $10 USD.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Slumbering Thread Studios from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the App.
These Terms remain in effect as long as you use the App. You may terminate these Terms at any time by uninstalling Thread from all of your devices.
We reserve the right to discontinue the App at any time without notice. Upon discontinuation, your license to use the App terminates. Because all data is stored locally, you will retain access to your device's stored data.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via an in-app notice or by updating the "Last Updated" date above. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you should uninstall the App.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Slumbering Thread Studios regarding the App and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
