Congratulations on taking the first step. Installing Resolve is a declaration that you value your own agency.
The Initialization Protocol
When you first launch the app, you will be guided through a setup sequence. This isn't just a tutorial—it's the calibration of the system to your mind.
1 Permissions
Resolve requires deep system access to function as an overlay.
- Appear on Top: Required for The Stream to intervene over other apps.
- Usage Access: Required to detect when you enter "High Friction" zones (social media, etc).
Note: All data processing happens locally on your device. We do not see your screen or your data.
2 Archetype Selection
Choose the persona that fits your cognitive style. This determines your UI theme and XP bonuses.
- Strategist: For those who value planning and deep work.
- Guardian: For those who need strong defenses against distraction.
- Seeker: For those who want to explore technology with mindfulness.
3 First Intent
The system will ask: "What is your primary intent for this session?"
This sets the baseline for your day. Everything you do will be measured against this intent.
Your First Intervention
Try opening a distracting app (like Instagram or TikTok). You will see The Stream intervene.
It won't block you completely (unless you are in Sentinel Mode), but it will ask: "Is this what you intended to do?"
Take a breath. Answer honestly. That moment of pause is where you regain control.
